Moon Spirit (please read!) :)

I looked round my new class, I hated moving school, I'd done it once before and I did't want to do it again. I slid into an empty seat and tried not to draw attention to myself. But unfortunately, being new made you stand out instantly. I saw people looking at me, I smiled and quickly turned away, a girl came in and slumped in her chair next to me and sighed. “Hi, I'm Hannah, I'm going to be your guide for today.” She held her hand out, none too enthusiastically.
“Hi.” I said a little nervously.
I shook her hand and Hannah looked bored, she sounded bored too, “I'm only doing this because I was asked. What's your name again?”
I hated this part, “Emma-Rose.”
I said quietly Hannah sat up and looked at me, she paused and smiled, “Emma-Rose? Nice name.” I sighed and relaxed in my seat, normally people would ask me if I was Jayden's little sister, he starred in the newest and best selling film, Vampire Dawn. It was basically about this vampire boy, played by Jayden, who fights to save humanity from the evil vampires. It wasn't really my thing, I didn't find it interesting, but I got to go on the set and stuff, so I found that fun. Another girl sat next to Hannah, “Hi, you must be Emma, I'm Miley.”
I shook her hand and a boy plonked next to me, he rolled his eyes and said teasingly “Get it right Miley, it'm Emma-Rose, not Emma.” He winked and me and shook my hand, “I'm Eric.” I shook his hand and smiled gratefully at him.
Miley grabbed Hannah's arm and spoke loudly “Hey, Hannah, what's the latest on Austin?” Hannah turned to Miley and they gossiped.
Eric tapped my elbow and I turned to look at him, “Don't mind them.” I nodded, I noticed people looking at me as they walked in, I felt my face going red and Eric laughed, “Relax, no one will speak horribly about you if I'm here. I‘m Austin's friend, that‘s the only reason Miley and Hannah hang around with me I think.”
I shook my head, “I don't think so, I think they hang around with you because they like you, and they say they like Austin because they want to see if you get jealous.”
Eric looked at me and smiled, “I never thought of that, thanks.”
he sounded grateful and he patted my arm and I smiled, “It's only a theory, it might not be true.”
Eric turned to face me with a glint in his eye, “Then I'll make them jealous.” I raised my eyebrow, “I'll talk to you about who I think is the prettiest girl in school.” When he said that Hannah and Miley stopped talking and turned to join the conversation, Miley asked inquisitively, “Who is it then Eric?” I sat back in my chair and felt more comfortable, at least people were talking to me.
Eric sounded like he was trying not to laugh, although Miley and Hannah didn't seem to pick up on that, “Well, I think that Emma-Rose is very pretty, and I think that Mia is very pretty.” my face flushed, I'd never been called pretty before, I always thought that I was normal looking. I have long brown wavy hair, bright blue eyes, which I have to admit are pretty cool, and I have freckles splashed on my face. I looked over at Hannah and Miley, they were looking behind them at a girl, she had shocking red hair, deep green eyes, and porcelain skin, she was beautiful. She had a figure girls would kill to have, her eyelashes were naturally long and made her eyes look bigger and cuter. I turned round and sighed, I could see why Eric thought she was pretty. “Is that so? What about us?” Hannah wasn't afraid to speak her mind, Eric smiled, “I think you're pretty too, but, I don't know, there's just something…maybe Hannah, you should curl your hair. Miley, maybe put some make-up on.” They both looked at each other and started to talk again, Eric smiled, “I think your theory was right, Emma-Rose.”
I smiled and looked at him, “Do you…do you like either of them?” I was going to ask if he really thought I was pretty, but as it was the first time we had met I thought it was best not to ask him, he noticed my hesitation and smiled, “For your first question, yes, and your second question, as friends.”
I frowned, trying to cover up, though I could feel my face going red, giving it all away, “But I only asked one question.”
Eric patted my head, “Of course.” I hit his hand away; we were friends instantly.
Thankfully I was with Eric for all my lessons except games, but I didn’t mind. We did netball, which I can do. I played centre, shooter and goal defence. My team won and at the end people were coming up to me congratulating me, I thanked them all and went to get changed.
