A Reece Mastin and Johnny Ruffo Love story

Katia’s Pov:

Me, Skye and a group of our friends were all at the beach. The boys were showing off as usual. They always do it. They are hopeless. One likes me and another likes Skye. All the other girls are with the other guys. Meaning they are all boy-friends and girl-friends. I was reading my Dolly magazine and I decided to look around, I looked behind us and I saw Reece Mastin and Johnny Ruffo from The Australian X-factor. Reece was the winner and Johnny was in the finale but got out 1st. I LOVE Reece and Skye loves Johnny. I stand up my bikini, grab Skye’s arm and we walk over to the big corn tree.
“What?” Skye asks.
“Reece Mastin and Johnny Ruffo just walked past” I squeal.
“They did?” she asks excitingly.
“Yes, so, let’s go out and act cool and make sure we look like we ain’t into them” I tell her. She has a one piece on. We walk over to our bags and I put on my shorts and she puts on a white t-shirt, I grab my phone and then we walk over to the shops. We’d told the other girls that we had gone to get something to eat. They didn’t want anything at the moment. We are walking to the bookshop and I see them. I grab the sleeve of her t-shirt and I point them out. “They are over there.”
“OMG, let’s go over” she says.
“Skye, sweetie, remember make sure they notice us but we don’t make it obvious we like them” I tell her. I’m good with these things. I read too many magazines. I walk over to Reece and I go past him and I ‘accidently’ shove him. “Oh, I’m sorry, I didn’t see you there.” I laugh and he smiles at me. He looks me up and down. He probably notices my belly ring.
“No, that’s fine” he says. I smile at him and I say sorry again and I walk off. Skye walks over and pretends to drop her purse right in front of Johnny. I hear the convo.
“Dammit” she swears. She meets my eye then she looks back down. Johnny turns around and he looks at her and he leans down and he picks it up and hands it to her.
“I think you dropped this” he says. He smiles at her.
“Thank you…?” she pretends not to know his name.
“Johnny and you?” he tells her his name.
“Skye. And, thank you again” she says. Then she walks over to me and we head into the ice-cream shop. “I think they are talking about us” she tells me.
I take a quick peak and they are looking at us and talking. “I think so to” I tell her. I go grab a Cookies ‘n’ Cream ice-cream and I walk over to a table. Skye gets a Banana ice-cream and she walks out. I then concentrate on eating my ice-cream. Then I hear someone slide into the seat opposite mine. I peak and it’s Reece.
“Hi, I’m Reece. The guy you accidently shoved” he says. I look up at him. I smile at him.
“I’m sorry ‘bout that. I’m Katia. Nice to meet you, Reece” I say. We shake hands.
“So, where ya from?” he asks.
“Paris, France. That’s why I have a bit of a French accent” I explain. “And you?”
“I’m from England” he tells me. I nod my head at him. “So, did you ever live in Paris?”
“Yeah, till I was 14 and I’m 17 now, so I’ve only been here for 4 years. You?” I tell him.
“Yeah, I used to live up in England for a bit. Now I’m 17” Reece tells me.
“So, why did you come over here?” I ask him straight out.
“Because you looked lonely and you seemed like a nice girl” he tells me. I finish my ice-cream and stand up and go over to the bin and chuck out the napkin. He follows. “Do you know who I am?”
“Yeah, your name is Reece Mastin, your favourite sport is Soccer, your favourite food is home-made lasagne, you have 3 sisters, your favourite movie is Saw 2, which is just ew, and I will never watch them, ever and your favourite ice-cream flavour is Bubble-gum. Also you are English” I tell him. He looks at me in amazement. “Oh, and you also won the Australian X-factor, your mentor was Guy Sebastian, Christina was one of your best mates and you have a CD out.”
“How do you know all this?” he asks and I think he already knows.
“I watched X-Factor, My friend told me quite a bit of it and at the start of X-Factor they said something about you being English” I tell him.
“Who was your favourite contestant on X-Factor?” he asks. I start to walk out and he follows.
“Jacqui, for sure, then Mitchell, Johnny, Christina, 3 wishez and somebody else” I tell him. Leaving out the part that I REALLY liked him on X-Factor.
“Who is that somebody else?” he asks me. I stop and look at him.
“I don’t know. The guy who won it? Oh, what was his name?” I wonder aloud. I know his name. I’m just good at flirting and anything that includes guys.
“Was his name Reece by any chance?” he asks.
“I think, yeah, it was” I look at him and smile and keep walking until I am in the bookshop. Reece still right next to me.
“So, the guy was me?” he asks.
I spin around and look at him like he’s a complete idiot. “Nah, it was another Reece Mastin, of-course it was you.” I walk over to the books that are all the vampire books and all the fantasy and stuff. I pick out Ink Exchange the next book in the Wicked Lovely series.
“So, you have known the entire time who I was?” he asks. I walk over to the counter and buy the book.
“Yes, I did” I answer.
“But, you like me from what I’ve established” he tells me.
“Yep, I’m just good with flirting and with guys” I say.
“You have a lot of guy friends?” he asks.
“Yep, heaps. I’m one of the popular ones” I answer.
“Do, you have a boy-friend?” he asks me. We are out of the shop and walking to the dress shop. I spin around and look at him.
“Why do you want to know?” I ask. I bet he wants to go out with me.
“Because, I want to take you out for a date” he tells me. We both smile at each other and continue on our way to the dress shop.
“No, I have a date, dunno when though. He never told me the date or time and he never even asked me” I say smiling.
“Would you like to go out on a date tonight?” he asks me.
“Sure” I smile.
“That new restaurant in town, at 7:30pm” he tells me.
“I’ll be there” I say. He nods his head and we say bye and he walks off.
